The purpose of the Dubai Health Care City (DHCC) initiative is to provide the highest quality of health care services to medical care and wellness seekers from the region (comprised of the GCC, Indian Subcontinent, Northern Gulf, Central Asia, the Levant, North and East Africa) by creating a world-class cluster of health care professionals and service providers at the heart of Dubai.
DHCC aspires to provide state-of-the-art medical care services in selected in deselected disciplines that are relevant to the health problems facing the patients in the region. The structure of FDHCC is highly integrated with the University Medical Complex forming the core. This central core is comprised of three components: |

The combination of these 3 components will enable Dubai to leapfrog to the forefront of regional medical practices, establishing a position of regional leadership through leading edge education and research, and thereby becoming a center of excellence in global health care. DHCC will be a welcoming gateway for patients coming from abroad, visiting doctors, conference participants, post graduate interns and staff members. Wellness seekers will experience a distinctive and enjoyable stay at DHCC with the hotel, bungalows, parks and entertainment facilities inside DHCC.
The wellness Cluster is a collection of independent business that are designed with the long-term health and wellness of the patient or customer in mind. Any company, medical institution or individual meeting the required quality standards and has interests in the health care field can play a role in DHCC. In addition, DHCC is a great location for an entire range of knowledge based economy industries. DHCC will be providing specialist care in medical disciplines that are most required in the region. The two main areas of focus will be cardiology and oncology. Other disciplines will include, urology, pediatrics, ophthalmology and orthopedics. DHCC is an area that has a unique integrated services systems, where state-of-the-art medical services will be provided. DHCC will create a world-class cluster of health care professionals and service providers at the heath of Dubai. Total area of DHCC facility in the first phase is 3.46 million sq. feet, which will, consists of free hold offices and day clinics. As for the land in DHCC, it will be on a 50-years lease basis. DHCC will follow the laws and regulations that govern all governmental entities such as the MOH. |
