The Firm Baker Tilly MKM was established in the year 1973 when Mr. Munim Al Rubaie, the Group Managing Partner first started its operations in Bagdad Iraq after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant from England and Wales.
In the year 1979 the firm established its operation with its first office in U.A.E. having principal place of business in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi. Over the last 30 years the firm has grown in U.A.E. from a single office location to multilocation offices in the Middle East and with multiculture partners from different parts of the world.
The Firm was earlier known as Al Rubaie & Co., Chartered Accountants and had later changed its name to Baker Tilly MKM to fall in line with the requirements of the Baker Tilly International Network and to match with the values of the Network. |

Baker Tilly MKM has grown over the years and today is one of the largest professional firms specializing in Audit, Accountancy and Management Consulting in United Arab Emirates with varied and vast knowledge of partners drawn from different disciplines and their capabilities for specialized and complex services to provide end to end solutions to its clients.
The clients are serviced through nine offices which are spread across the Emirates of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah in U.A.E. and Muscat in Oman. It has grown by focusing on clients financial needs and providing excellent and timely client services with a personal touch.
The Firm has drawn aggressive expansion plans to add on specialized services and facilities. In the year 2009, the Firm plans to open its specialized services office in Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) , Dubai Multi-Commodity Center (DMCC), Dubai Industrial City (DIC) besides other Emirates and Free Zones while launching its operations in Doha, Qatar, Manama Bahrain and Tehran, Iran, Damascus, Syria and Sana in Yemen by the year 2010, and restarting the operations in Iraq which was abandoned due to the political conditions. |
